NFL Week 17 Picks

NFL Week 17 Picks

Robert Griffin III Quarterback Robert Griffin III #10 of the Washington Redskins runs against the New York Giants during their game at MetLife Stadium on October 21, 2012 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-9) at Atlanta Falcons (13-2)

Terrible stretch of games for Tampa and with a hot Atlanta at home to end their season, I give Atlanta the 35-14 win even if they rest their guys late in the game. Yes, Tampa is that bad.

New York Jets (6-9) at Buffalo Bills (5-10)

Somehow, someway, I'm crazy enough to believe that Mark Sanchez will win what could be his last start as a New York Jet. Buffalo scored just ten points on Miami so even with a banged up Jets defense; I see the Jets holding on for a 17-13 win to end their disastrous season.

Baltimore Ravens (10-5) at Cincinnati Bengals (9-6)

Cincinnati has been so inconsistent, and so has the Ravens. Both teams play like sub-500 teams for stretches of this season. I expect A.J. Green to have a field day but Joe Flacco, coming of a good performance against  New York, should be good enough for the 28-17 win and walk into the playoffs with a winning streak.

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-8) at Cleveland Browns (5-10)

I want you to name me the quarterback for Cleveland. Go ahead, I'll wait. With both Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy out, I feel bad for Josh Johnson, or maybe Thad Lewis. Pittsburgh has to be pretty upset they're not playing past December 30th so expect a blowout to the tune of 28-3.

Chicago Bears (9-6) at Detroit Lions (4-11)

Once again, Calvin Johnson will break history; predicting that he breaks two thousand yard. But it will be in a Detroit loss. Chicago has something to play for, a chance in the playoffs and perhaps their coaches job. Chicago will win the game 28-21. Expect a big game from Brandon Marshall too.

Tennessee Titans (5-10) at Jacksonville Jaguars (2-13)

This will be bad. Worse then the night game between Tennessee and the Jets. Expect a lot of running game from both sides but with the most boom or bust back in Chris Johnson; capable of having two hundred yards game or two yards game; I give the nod to Tennessee 10-7 in what should be, the worst game of the season.

Philadelphia Eagles (4-11) at New York Giants (8-7)

Michael Vick is playing for his career. Well, not really. If you're a GM and you're judging Vick based off one game you should be fired but it's nice to give scouts something nice to see before the season is over. The Giants look like they're packing their bags and that's a bad combination, even with a speedy defensive front that can keep Vick contain. Philadelphia ends their terrible season with a 24-21 win over the Giants and the G-Men continue their trend of missing the playoffs after their Super Bowl runs.

Carolina Panthers (6-9) at New Orleans Saints (7-8)

Cam Newton won't be suspended for bumping a referee last week and I expect him to remind us how good he is. I'm talking over three hundred yards and some good rushing stats too. Drew Brees will have a great game too but I don't trust the Saints defense at all so give the nod to Carolina to end the season with a 35-31 win and a four game winning streak.

Houston Texans (12-3) at Indianapolis Colts (10-5)

The miracle season for Indianapolis ends with a loss, a big one even with their coach coming back. Great story but this might be the worst ten-win team in the history of the NFL. Houston is going to get after them and expect J.J. Watt to have the single season sack record by the end of this game. If his coaches let him. 27-14 win for Houston.

Green Bay Packers (11-4) at Minnesota Vikings (9-6)

Huge Adrian Peterson fan but he won't get it. And his Vikings won't be in the playoffs either. Aaron Rodgers is simply too good and he will throw it all over the Vikings, helping them get off to a huge lead. Unless Frazier throws the towel and simply tries to get his back the record, he's going to have to throw the ball with Ponder. Oh, no. 35-17 win.

St. Louis Rams (7-7-1) at Seattle Seahawks (10-5)

Seattle needs San Francisco to lose to win the division and with the 49ers playing the Cardinals, that won't happen. They do, however, take care of business against a surprisingly mediocre Rams team 24-10.

Miami Dolphins (7-8) at New England Patriots (11-4)

Tom Brady has the right to be upset and he is at his best when he is upset. He wants to rip Miami's secondary and he will as they enter the playoffs. They could reach forty points but with the game in the books, they'll try to keep Brady out of harms way for a 35-21 win.

Kansas City Chiefs (2-13) at Denver Broncos (12-3)

Romeo Crenell, who I think is a pretty damn good coach, could be coaching his last game as a head coach in the NFL. I really don't see who's going to see him another shot as the head man if Kansas City lets him go next week. Unfortunately, his last game will be a lost to Manning and Co., 35-7.

San Diego Chargers (6-9) at Oakland Raider (4-11)

After this game, a 28-14 win for San Diego, Norv Turner will most likely be gone. I think they go out and bring in Andy Reid possibly. He's a California guy. The pressure will mount on Philip Rivers, who will be getting the 'Tony Romo' treatment from here on out.

Arizona Cardinals (5-10) at San Francisco 49ers (10-4-1)

I could be a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, it looks like they're picking guys off the street it seems. They're terrible and if I'm Larry Fitzgerald, I'm thinking long and hard about my future. Unfortunately for Larry, he'll have to shit through another beat down; 35-10 win for San Fran.

Dallas Cowboys (8-7) at Washington Redskins (9-6)

FexEx Field will be rowdy; especially after the 24-20 win over Dallas to win them their division. Dallas will keep Griffin under tabs, not allowing those explosive plays but Alfred Morris will grind them out and expect an ill-time, late interception or fumble from one of the Cowboys. Probably Tony Romo or Dez Bryant.
